Be part of the world-renowned Chicago Symphony Orchestra Association as an intern in its archives. Many different talents and skills are needed to provide management and support for this cultural treasure.
Job responsibilities include: assisting the Rosenthal Archives staff with the organizing, processing, and cataloguing of archival materials as well as reference and research services. Must be willing to commit to ten hours per week during the course of the 2017-18 season (September-June).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
- Students pursuing a degree in archival and/or library science, music (performance or education), or arts management
- Basic knowledge of classical music preferred, but not required
- Strong computer skills (relational databases, Microsoft Office)
- Demonstrated research skills and ability to work with attention to detail and limited supervision
