Paid Marketing and Events Internship at the Pritzker Military Library

The Pritzker Military Library is looking to fill a paid part time Marketing and Events internship position. Under the guidance of a staff member, the intern will assist the Library’s events and marketing team in the planning, organizing, and execution of internal and external events such as facility rental, meetings, author and scholar programs, and holiday gatherings. The intern will work at our main library at 104 S. Michigan Ave. A resume, cover letter, and writing sample will be required.

Advanced undergraduates (Seniors) or graduate students (Marketing) preferred

ESSENTIAL POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent communications skills; coursework or experience in graphic design, marketing, public relations, event management, or related disciplines; advanced computer orientation skills; attention to detail; ability to work in teams and independently.

ASSIGNED RESPONSIBLITIES AND DUTIES: Helping to organize and coordinate marketing and event details; assisting in creation and preparation of marketing materials; important phone, email and in-person contact with key organizations involved with events; providing information via phone, e-mail, etc. to prospective event attendees; organizational tasks, such as working on mailings, preparing information kits, etc.; facilitating e-marketing efforts; keeping website and social media information updated; project development and management; help with event logistics; vendor management; real world experience in coordinating events and library programs; assist with creation and distribution of promotional materials
