Spend the Summer on an Archaeological Dig in Ireland and Get Internship Credit

The Blackfriary Community Archaeology Project, based at the site of a 13th century Dominican friary (the Black Friary), attracts students and scholars from all over the world (including USA, Canada, Australia, Europe and Ireland) to the medieval town of Trim each year. The school is also engaged in research at a number of other significant sites such as the Hill of Tara (Rath Maeve) and the Hill of Slane.

Jewish Reconstructionist Congregation Internship

The Jewish Reconstructionist Congregation in Evanston would like to find one or more students, at the undergraduate or graduate level, who might like to work on a history project that should prove interesting. In preparation for the congregation’s 50th anniversary celebration in the spring of 2014, JRC has “repatriated” most of its archives (15 bankers boxes of materials) from the Spertus Institute downtown.

Chicago Council on Global Affairs Winter and Spring 2014 Internships

The Chicago Council on Global Affairs offers undergraduate juniors and seniors as well as graduate students the chance to learn about our organization and participate in a variety of duties associated with ongoing projects through internships.  Deadline for applying for Winter and Spring 2014 internships is November 15th.
